Uptown Spotlight: Kathy Cocuzzi

​In our first Uptown spotlight, we welcome one of our newest members Kathy Cocuzzi. If you’ve lived in Westerville a while, you’ve probably heard of her or been impacted by her work.

Not only is she a long time Westerville resident, but she has served as a community leader for over a decade.

Get to know her a little better.

Q: What Are You Most Excited for Being Part of Uptown Westerville Inc.?
A: I’m very excited to be a part of this Board and have been an enthusiastic supporter since its inception. I’m honored to represent Westerville City Council on the Board and am looking forward to a great year.


Q: What Are You Currently Focused on in your Role with Uptown Westerville Inc.?
A: My role on the Board is to connect our organization with City leadership and resources. I also serve on the Westerville Industry and Commerce Committee (WICC), which is a perfect union, as the WICC Board can award grants for building improvements to the businesses Uptown. Lastly, I’m looking forward to working with everyone as we make road improvements in 2019.


Q: What's Your Best Memory of Uptown?
A: My best memory of Uptown is hard to pinpoint. I have fond memories of taking my kids to Cockerells and Midnight Madness. But I think the one thing I visualize with Uptown is the star over State Street at Christmas. I’m so glad it is still there every year.


Q: What's Your Favorite Thing About Uptown?
A: My favorite thing about Uptown is the people - visitors and business owners alike! Everyone is helpful and friendly and really illustrates the Westerville way of making everyone feel welcome.
